ABSTRACT

Background: The  purpose of  the  immunizing  is  degrading  the  painfulness  number,  death, and handicap by giving to immunize complete to baby before 1 year old. Data indicate that in Indonesia degradation of disease amount which can be prevented immunized is down. This efficacy is obtained from governmental hard work and participate the society. A lot of reason causing the happening of dread to mother in polio immunizes pasca to their children; one of them is mother’s knowledge about immunizing polio. This research aim to know whether there is relation  between  mother’s knowledge  about  polio immunization by  dreading  of  mother in immunizing polio pasca to their children in Margasari clinic Tasikmalaya in 2007.

Methods:  the  method  is  using  cross  sectional.  Subject  of  the  research  consists  of  37 responder, result of research show the existence of the relation between mother’s knowledge about polio immunization by dreading of mother in immunizing polio pasca to their children, data analysis uses Spearman Rho technique, the result is -0,658 by significant 0, 01 while examination result got = 0,000 that matter means there is relation meaning between them.

Result:  There  is  positive  relation  between  knowledge  levels  about  polio  immunizing  with dread of mother re-polio immunizing pasca to child in Margasari clinic Tasikmalaya in 2007.
